The San Antonio Spurs on Monday teased the team’s new ‘Classic Edition’ jerseys in a video released in social media video released Monday.

The silver-and-black gear, which pays homage to the franchise’s start in the American Basketball Association, will be used during the upcoming 2026-27 season. The uniforms feature a silver base with the Spurs wordmark and a diamond-shaped design bearing the team’s logo near the bottom of the shorts..

The trailer released Monday is narrated by Spurs great George “Iceman” Gervin.

“That’s more than a uniform; it’s a connection to our roots, our city, and the future we are building together,” Gervin says in the clip.

The Spurs are among four teams honoring their ABA legacy this season, along with the Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers and Denver Nuggets. This marks the 50th anniversary of that league’s merger with the NBA.

The franchise began in 1967 as the Dallas Chaparrals, one of the ABA’s original teams. After years of financial struggles, a group of San Antonio businessmen, led by Red McCombs, negotiated a ‘lend-lease’ agreement with the Chaparrals’ owners to move the franchise to San Antonio, where it was renamed the Spurs.

The Spurs joined the NBA in 1976.

Members of the team will wear the Classic Edition jerseys for the first time in a matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on Nov. 4.

Fans can preorder the Classic Edition jerseys by texting (210) 444-5940.
