Chiodos brought its volatile mix of screamo, prog-rock excess and Broadway-sized melodrama to San Antonio’s Espee on Wednesday night. Fans turned up to hear the Michigan-based band blaze through a set that shook up angst, brutality and theatrical bombast into a powerful cocktail. Emery and Hail the Sun rounded out the bill with energetic sets of their own.
