Start your summer out right by indulging in paletas, ice cream, milkshakes, snow cones, mangonadas and more at San Antonio's Frozen Treats Fest on June 17 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Alamo Beer Co.

EgCollaborations owner Erica Garcia planned the event to bring the community together over tasty, local desserts.

"We're going to celebrate all of the different frozen treats San Antonio has to offer to kick off the summer," Garcia says.

The fest is a family-friendly event with live music entertainment, face painting, bouncy castles, food trucks, and, of course, endless local treats. The lineup of vendors includes Aloha Shaved Ice, Fruit Cups and More,  Flamingo Rey's Island Ice, Healthy Pops SA, Pop'topia, and 2 Sueet Panaderia Food Truck.

One of the vendors, Honeysuckle Tea Time, will launch two new flavors of ice cream at the event. Attendees can be the first to try the chai tea and orange blossom dreamsicle ice creams. Tickets to reserve your Honeysuckle shakes can be found here.

Garcia expanded the event from previous years crediting the move to the city's increasing amount of up-and-coming dessert businesses. She said that the vendors are looking forward to a large turnout with around 1,000 people signed up to attend already.

"We are really excited to bring the community together and show what small businesses can do," Garcia says.

Entrance to the fest is free and open to the public. Desserts and Alamo Beer's brews will be regular priced.
