Some might say pumpkin spice lattes are the sign of fall here in San Antonio where we don’t get the beautiful fall foliage, but we disagree. It’s all the corn mazes and pumpkin patches! We gathered the must-see sights and activities to get you in the fall mood.

Open on weekends only, you and the family have a reason to head up for the weekend and enjoy the pumpkin patch, corn maze, games, slides, trains, duck races, face paintings, farm animals and live music. There’s plenty to do here: scenic hayrides, a live petting zoo, scarecrow dressing, yard games, and pumpkins galore! The kids will have their fill of attractions, so you’ll truly want to spend the whole day here. Kids 2 and under are free while everyone else has a $12 admission fee (there are discounts for seniors and military members), though there are extra goodies you can add on. Every day in October from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., your family can swing on my for your own pumpkins. Circle N Maze 558 County Rd 345, La Vernia, (210) 326-1741, circlenmaze.com From the place that brought you the “Texas Strong” maze last year after Hurricane Harvey, Circle N Maze is back with another crowd pleaser: a sugar skull maze. Head on out to La Vernia for a 5.5-acre maze you’re bound to be obsessed with. Don’t worry, there’s also a mini maze for the little ones. There’s also a pumpkin patch, photo stations, hay bale fun, a petting zoo, games, and even vendors and food trucks. Open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays beginning October 5 for $10 a person. You’ll be able to choose from more than 15,000 pumpkins! Plus, you can snap pics with costumed scarecrows and the perfect fall aesthetic backdrop – nature itself! Money raised from the patch will be used toward ministries and programs at the church.
