The Animal Defense League of Texas, a no-kill shelter located 11300 Nacogdoches Road, has several pups that are currently looking for a forever home. Check out the dogs that are currently available and just try saying no to adopting one of these cuties. It’s basically impossible.

Donnie This 3-year-old terrier is a calm dog with a shy side and is looking for a relaxed place he can call home.
Ty Ty is a joyous pup who loves fetch, making friends and playing with other dogs. He’s looking for an active owner who can match his energy.
Marla Marla is surprisingly calm for a 6-month-old Terrier mix . She’s looking for a campion to start her life out with who will love her forever.
Doc This four-month-old hound mix needs an upbeat, energetic family that can take care of a puppy. Look at that face!

Mushu “I’m full of friendliness and fun! I’d be more than happy to go for a stroll in the park with you, but hold on tight because I sometimes forget how strong I can be. Especially if I spot a cat, it’s probably best to keep me away from those critters. I’m also a curious one, so I like to inspect my surroundings while I’m out on the grounds. I do well in a vehicle so if you want to take me for a ride, I’ll jump in with no problem. If you feed me snacks, I’ll very gently take them from your hand. I like kids so I would make a great family pet! I hope that I can find that family to take me home soon!”
Bullwinkle “I’m not sure if I’m a moose or just a bull in a china shop, the way my enthusiasm bubbles over when I’m out of my kennel. I’m a big guy and I’m just overflowing with love and joy, but I do calm down after a short while. But who can blame me for my boisterousness? I had a broken leg and had to have it in a metal contraption until it healed, and even now I’m still not allowed to run and play like I want to. But I love being around people, so it’s always a treat to get a visit and I will always greet you with a hug. I’ll wag my tail in a big circle to show how happy I am if you come for a visit.”
Big Boy Though he may be big, Big Boy is a gentle and calm lab retriever mix in need of a chill home. Shy at times, Big Boy is a friendly dog with a big heart.
Becka Becka, a 2-year-old terrier mix, gets along well with other dogs and kids and loves being held. Full of energy and good on a leash, she needs someone who can take her on long walks.
Bridget This Dachshund mix (yes, Dachshund) is a friendly and affectionate pup in need of an energetic owner.
Boomer Boomer is a 4-year-old lab retriever mix who is shy around dogs, cats and children, and prefers a quiet home. He’s good on a leash and and knows sit and down commands, and is looking for a best friend to take him home.
