Boeing Center at Tech Port this weekend will host the 2025 Scholastic Esports Championship, a new collegiate and high school sports competition that will pit top electronic gamers from around the country against each other.
The free event, presented by the Army National Guard, will feature local, state and national championships for the SAMSAT R20, EGF (Electronic Gaming Federation), and NECC (National Esports Collegiate Conference) leagues. Although there’s no attendance charge, admission tickets are available online.
Main-stage competitions at the tourney will include top players vying for championships in game titles including Valorant, Rocket League, League of Legends, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Halo: Infinite. In addition, the fun will include all-ages free play tournaments in Smash Ultimate, Rocket League and more, according to organizers.
Family-friendly events at the tournament will include arcade machines, racing simulators and a photo booth. Top gaming and computer companies along with national, regional and local colleges also will be on hand in a vendor area.
