Summer is fast-approaching, and the City of San Antonio is preparing for rising temperatures.
By opening select city pools this weekend, that is.
With expected highs in the low 80s and partly cloudy skies, San Antonians can head to four city pools starting Saturday, May 4. The following will open ahead of the official pool season: Heritage (1423 Ellison Dr.), Lady Bird Johnson (10700 Nacogdoches), Southside Lions (3100 Hiawatha) and Woodlawn (221 Alexander Ave.).
During the pre-season opening, the pools will welcome visitors on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. for lap swimming and from 4 to 7 p.m. for open swimming. (The Woodlawn pool is also open for lap swimming on Friday mornings.) The four pools will also be available for open swimming from 1 to 7 p.m. on weekends.
