The fall semester officially began today at the University of Texas at San Antonio. If you live near campus and wanted to get a good night’s sleep before your 8 a.m. class like a responsible student, well, sorry, you should have been out there with the rest of the Rowdy Roadrunners showing your school spirit.
The University kicked off the semester with its second annual Midnight Lights. President Ricardo Romo led a rally last night that culminated in a shock-and-awe midnight fireworks display to pump students up before the first day of class.
Some students appreciated it more than others.
So how are students handling the first day of class? Well, the parking situation sucks and their Banner and ASAP online systems were reportedly down, so for many students, things could be going better.
But for the cheerful and perpetually optimistic among the student body, the first day of the semester is the greatest day ever.
