The man who almost single-handedly brought Bill Cosby’s alleged sexual misconduct into the fore of popular discussion (unfortunate that it takes a another man’s opinion to draw light to such damning accusations, I know), as well as a seriously funny motherfucker, Hannibal Buress, sold out this Saturday’s impromptu show at Paper Tiger (2410 N. St. Mary’s St.) in several hours.
A second show, at 10 p.m., has been added so that as many fans of the decidedly un-flashy comic that plays pediatric dentist Lincoln Rice on Broad City and the never nonplussed co-host of The Eric Andre Show can catch a standup routine from a man the New York Times has heralded as “supremely gifted and respected.”Buress has also put in plenty of time behind the scenes as a writer for Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock.
Tickets for the event, one of (hopefully) many future comedy shows at the one-year-old music venue, are again priced at $22-$25, but you better snatch ’em up now, here.
All three of Buress’ standup specials are currently streaming on Netflix. Side note: How much must Bill Cosby hate this motherfucker right here?
