The San Antonio Paranormal Festival will return to haunt Victoria’s Black Swan Inn on Saturday, Sept. 20, reveling in all that’s strange and unexplained, organizers said Tuesday.
The festival, hosted by Curious Twins Paranormal, will kick off spooky season with a celebration of history and mystery along with shopping, lectures and food at the historic Victoria’s Black Swan Inn, purported to be one of San Antonio’s most haunted locations.
The festival will take place 3-11 p.m. Saturday. However, VIP access is also available for special events on Friday and Sunday, according to organizers.
Curious Twins Paranormal — who specialize in local ghost tours, spooky events and paranormal investigations — bills the gathering as the largest paranormal festival in Texas. Guest speakers will include Creole voodoo queens, psychic mediums, occultists, demonologists, paranormal investigators and more.

Booth vendors will offer up everything from spooky clothing to botanica items such as candles, incense, crystals are more. Many also offer psychic readings. A Ouija board collection and a world record-holding Casper memorabilia museum curated by local Vanessa Irino also will be on view. Food trucks vendors will be on hand to serve up the grub.
Adding to the mystery and history of the occasion, the festival is being held on the anniversary of the Battle of Salado, which occurred on and around the grounds of Victoria’s Black Swan Inn. According to the property’s owners, many bodies were strewn about the area when the musket smoke cleared, contributing many of the numerous spirits believed to haunt the site to this day.
Tickets to the San Antonio Paranormal Festival are available online.
