Professional boxing proponents have a solid card to celebrate this Saturday at Freeman Coliseum, where undefeated three-division world champion Mikey Garcia will square off against unbeaten junior welterweight world champion Sergey Lipinets.
With 37 bouts under his belt, including 30 knockouts, Garcia is a seasoned fighter whose experience in the ring should tip the scales in his favor in an otherwise even match. A win against Lipinets would add a fourth title belt to Garcia’s growing collection.
Included on the card is a super lightweight rematch between two-division world champion Rances Barthelemy and Kiryl Relikh for the vacant WBA 140-pound world title. Barthelemy walked away with a victory against Relikh in 2017 via a controversial unanimous decision, becoming the first Cuban pro fighter to win titles in three different weight classes.
$20-$250, Sat March 10, 4pm, Freeman Coliseum, 3201 E. Houston St., (800) 226-1177, ticketmaster.com.
