Guadalajara’s loss is San Antonio’s gain.

The 3rd Annual Noche UFC will take place Saturday, Sept. 13, at Frost Bank Center due to construction delays at the arena in Mexico where it was originally booked, mixed martial arts promoter Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) revealed on its social media channels.

“The Noche UFC Fight Night card will celebrate and honor the remarkable contributions of Mexican fighters to combat sports and continues UFC’s great tradition of holding an event around Mexican Independence Day,” the post added.

This year’s Noche UFC was originally expected to be the first to take place in Mexico, but the promotion relocated the event due to construction delays at Arena Guadalajara, CBS Sports reports. As a result of the move, UFC is no longer advertising the card as a pay-per-view event, however.

UFC launched its Noche UFC fights to celebrate Mexican Independence Day, which falls on Sept. 16. However, this will mark the third year the event has taken place in the United States, according to CBS Sports. The first two took place in Las Vegas.

The UFC hasn’t yet released details about the San Antonio card.
