With the San Antonio Spurs missing the playoffs again, it’s time for Silver and Black fans to grab some brewskies and get ready for the NBA Draft Lottery.

It’s the third consecutive year the Silver and Black have participated in the draft lottery. While analysts don’t expect the team to land the No. 1 pick, there’s still reason to tune in.

The Spurs hold two picks in this year’s lottery and have a 6.7% chance of landing the No. 1 pick. The additional pick is from the Atlanta Hawks, which San Antonio acquired in the Dejounte Murray trade two years ago.

The Spurs could trade those picks to move up in the lottery, or swap them for a player. The team is rumored to be a potential landing spot for the 2021 NBA Champion Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks.

If that doesn’t happen, the odds favor the Spurs landing the No. 8 and No. 14 draft picks, respectively.

In that case, the Spurs are most likely to land Illinois point guard Kasparas Jakucionis at No. 8 and Illinois shooting guard Will Riley at No. 14, according to a KENS 5’s analysis.

However, anything is possible at the NBA Draft lottery.

ESPN will broadcast the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery starting at 6 p.m. CST.
