Get ready to get your geek on, San Antonio.

San Japan, the annual bash billed as South Texas’ biggest anime and gaming convention, will take place at the Henry B. González Convention Center and San Antonio Grand Hyatt Friday, Aug. 29-Sunday, Aug, 31. Now in its 16th year, the fan-run con typically draws tens of thousands of faithful, many dressed as their favorite anime, manga and pop-culture characters.

This year’s guests will include Japanese video game director Katsuhiro Harada, known for the Tekken series; voice actor Jonah Scott, who’s worked on BEASTARS, Dying Light 2, Demon Slayer and more; Japanese game and music producer Naoki Maeda, known for DanceDanceRevolution; Miura Ayme, a popular online musical act, voice actor and cosplayer; and Tokyo-based singer-songwriter YUC’e, among others.

Beyond the star power, San Japan 2025 will feature an artist alley, gaming tournaments, panels, cosplay contests, karaoke and an Otaku Cafe offering Japanese food and drink.

Tickets range from single-day admission to three-day passes and special VIP experiences.
