Valentine’s Weekend is nearly here, sweethearts.

Good thing there’s a bunch of events going on in the Alamo City for lovebirds and those looking for love. Let’s dive in.

Thursday, Feb. 13

Galentine’s Day Happy Hour at Maria Bonita
Who needs the fellas? Back by popular demand, this Galentines Day Happy Hour at Maria Bonita Restaurant offers free rosé (while supplies last), a 360-degree photo booth, drink specials and a set by DJ Miss Genafire. Friday, Feb. 14 Valentine’s Day at Market Square

It’s Friday I’m in Love

Bang Bang Bar is hosting a new wave and post-punk night with DJ Ira and DJ Charlie “spinning the sounds of love, heartbreak, and everything in between.” So, if you want to fall in love to the soundtrack of Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Smiths, this is the spot for you. Lonesome Rose Valentines Day with West Texas Exiles, Los Juanos, Strawberry Jams

If you happen be lonesome on Valentine’s Day, you know where to go. Whether you’re boo-ed up or not, you’re sure to find someone to two step with on the dance floor of the Lonesome Rose. The show will feature the dulcet tones of dust-blown alternative act West Texas Exiles. Strange Love Songs — DJ Tribute to Depeche Mode and The Cure

Don’t let the all-black wardrobe fool you — goths are some of the most romantic people you’ll ever meet. The Amp Room is throwing its 4th annual DJ tribute to two of the most romantic goth acts of all time — The Cure and Depeche Mode. Hosted by DJ Generation X. Sunday, Feb. 16 Celebrando Amor with Joaquin and the Glowliners

What’s more perfect for Valentines Day that romantic soul music? Joaquin & The Glowliners continue the tradition of the West Side sound with special guest William C. Galvez at the Mariachi Bar at Mi Tierra. $30, 7:30 p.m., Mi Tierra, 218 Produce Row, tickets available online.
