The New York Times' published an article titled "36 Hours in San Antonio" early Thursday morning and it was actually a pretty a solid list of places to eat, drink and hang out in the Alamo City.
The Times' suggests travelers stop by the River Walk on their first day in San Antonio, followed by a visit to the Pearl (but not for too long) with dinner at Supper inside Hotel Emma. Checking out the Saga at San Fernando was, rightfully, on the list, ending the first night with a visual history of San Antonio.
To start the second day, NYT says biking the Missions is a must, stopping by the Luxury for lunch is the way to go, and the rest of the day includes trips to the Briscoe Western Art Museum, Alamo Beer Company, Ray's Drive Inn, the Tobin Center, rounding out the day with drinks at the Esquire Tavern, Juniper Tar and Paramour.
For a visitor's last few hours in SA, a stop at the Alamo and a tour of Blue Star were must-sees, according to the Times' travel advice. Can you blame them? We're at Brick Marketplace on an almost weekly basis...
Again, pretty solid list. We'd add a trip down the St. Mary's Strip to check out some puro San Anto bars (Squeezebox, Hi-Tones, Rumble, Mix), but overall, we're pretty impressed with NYT's San Antonio recommendations.
