The award-winning San Antonio Zoo is offering free admission to frontline workers throughout September.
Between Sept. 1 and Sept. 30, frontline workers including doctors, nurses, police officers, firefighters and EMTs can get free access to the San Antonio Zoo. All folks have to do is present a valid ID or badge at the zoo entrance.
“Our frontline heroes show up for our communities every single day, often putting their own safety aside to keep the rest of us safe and healthy,” San Antonio Zoo CEO Tim Morrow said in a statement. “Offering them free admission in September is one small way we can say thank you and give them a chance to unwind with the people they love.”
Zoo officials also encourage frontline workers also to bring their families to join in on the fun.
The San Antonio Zoo this month was ranked among the best in the world by travel magazine Condé Nast and was voted the Best Family Attraction and Best Tourist Attraction by SA Current readers last month.
Non-frontline workers who still want to visit the San Antonio Zoo can buy tickets online at the park’s website.
