San Antonio’s 13th Floor Haunted House is shambling back from the dead for a new spooky season.

The east-of-downtown attraction will open its doors at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, and continue terrifying guests through Sunday, Nov. 9.

For its 16th year in operation, 13th Floor has added two new nightmares — the Legend of Donkey Lady and the Blood Shed. The Donkey Lady diversion plays on the San Antonio urban legend of a horribly disfigured woman who lost her children in a fire, while the Blood Shed features a butcher-turned-monster called the Carver.

“13th Floor San Antonio is raising the bar like never before,” 13th Floor General Manager Blaine Skreenock said in a statement. “Our team creates brand-new worlds of horror each year, with original themes, custom-built sets, and larger-than-life creatures that move, lunge, and scream right back at you. This year, we’re pulling out every stop to make this the most immersive, fear-inducing season yet.”

The haunted house also includes a variety of guest add-ons and upgrades, including a 21-and-up bar, a zombie shooting range and a new interactive bar experience bathed in ultraviolet light, according to the venue’s operators.

Tickets are available online.

$19.99 and up, Saturday, Sept. 13 through Sunday, Nov. 9, 13th Floor San Antonio, 1203 E. Commerce St., (210) 910-6450, 13thfloorsanantonio.com.
