UT-San Antonio’s new Dramatic Arts Program is bringing the hit Broadway musical and ’80s cult film sensation Little Shop of Horrors to life through Sunday, April 26.
The production, acted, performed and staged by students in the program will run daily in the Buena Vista Theater at the school’s downtown campus.
Launched in 2025, UTSA’s Dramatic Arts Program combines performance, stagecraft and emerging technology with the history of the genre. New courses are available in acting for stage, screen and emerging media; stage management, directing and playwriting; set design, lighting, choreography and more.
Deeply invested in working with established local and national theatre groups, students have the opportunity to set the stage aflame, so to speak.
This hilariously dark rock ‘n’ roll musical about a hapless florist and his killer plant will let the community see how all of it comes together.
$5-25, 2-5 p.m. daily, Buena Vista Theater, 501 César E. Chávez Blvd., (850) 228-8205, utsa.edu.
