Upon its premiere in 1985, Martin Scorsese’s cult favorite After Hours left legendary film critic Roger Ebert feeling so drained and “emotionally depleted” that he contemplated leaving the theater to gather his thoughts … and maybe return later to take in the rest of what was billed as a “comedy.” Mashing up perplexing elements plucked…

Dark Comedy A Bright New Boise Explores Modern Faith in Middle America

You’d think the seed for the Rapture would be planted somewhere with a bit more gravitas, but there it is: the beige walls, gurgling coffee maker, and chipped formica counters of the Hobby Lobby break room. Fleeing a scandal at his Evangelical church, Will joins the staff, who faces the not-sot-trivial task of fulfilling foul-mouthed…

Snoop Dogg Smoked Out The Aztec, Obviously

Now, I don’t really drink or smoke weed anymore. Especially when I’m reviewing a show, since it’s important to stay focused so I can accurately report the performance.
