The Barbacoa and Big Red Festival is returning for a ninth year of celebrating the Alamo City’s most puro meal combination.

The event’s 2019 edition will move from its longtime location at R & J Pavilion to The Greenline SA at Brooks. This year’s fest is scheduled for Sunday (obviously), May 19.

The Barbacoa and Big Red Festival has grown over the years, bringing in thousands of San Antonians to enjoy live music and barbacoa from restaurants across the city. There is also a competition to determine which can claim to have the city’s best barbacoa.
