For Brown Coffee Co., San Antonio’s top coffee provider, there is no such thing as a simple cup of joe.
In Lee Eubanks’ upcoming feature documentary Coffee Hunting: Kenya, the local filmmaker takes audiences on a journey with Brown Coffee Co. owner Aaron Blanco as he travels to three continents in search of the best coffee beans in the world. This includes the 9,000-mile trip it takes to get from San Antonio to coffee farms in Kenya.
“In the film, you get the chance to see this very personal point of view for the coffee sourcing process,” Eubanks said. “It was important to..get that overwhelming sense of looking for a needle in a haystack.”
The world premiere of Coffee Hunting: Kenya will take place May 12, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Park North (618 NW Loop 410). A special Q&A with the cast and crew will follow the screening.
