San Antonio boba fans soon will have another spot to get their fix.
California-based chain It’s Boba Time will open its first San Antonio location at 1201 N. Loop 1604 West #117 in the Vineyard Shopping Center this Wednesday, according to company officials. The store is the company’s Texas debut.
To celebrate the opening, the store will give away one free drink coupon to each of the first 100 guests in line. Guests who purchase $15 or more on grand opening day will get a free limited-edition keyring, while those who spend $25 or more will get a free hat and those who drop $30 or more earn a tote bag. The swag isn’t stacked, so it’s just one free item based on the amount spent.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2003, It’s Boba Time rapidly became a Southern California staple for boba fans. The chain is known for an extensive menu with over 140 drink options that aren’t just boba. Customers can also order açaí bowls, smoothies, shaved iced, frappes and more.
Guests also have the option to also build-their-own boba to their liking.
“Our fan favorites are the Thai milk tea with boba, Taro smoothie, galaxy iced tea, and our coconut strawberry smoothie,” a spokesperson from It’s Boba Time told the Current.
The chain also maintains a top-20 list on its website to help first-timers.
While the It’s Boba Time spokesperson wouldn’t detail specifics of the company’s future San Antonio and Texas expansion plans, more stores are on the horizon.
