Los Angeles’ Fatburger chain is beefing up its San Antonio presence with plans for fourth area location, this one near Stone Oak.
Fatburger’s latest store will be located at 4250 TPC Pkwy, #101, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Construction on the space is slated to begin in June with a tentative November completion date, records show.
The eatery will be located in a strip mall across the street from the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa. It will neighbor recently opened Ravello Italian Cuisine.
The Current reached out to Fatburger officials for more details on the expansion but got no response by press time.
Founded in 1952 by Lovie Yancet, Fatburger bills itself as “the last great burger stand.” The company keeps its fare simple, offering hand-pressed beef patties, scratch-made onion rings and handcrafted milkshakes along with other classic burger-joint staples. But, in keeping with the times, the brand also has options for guests with dietary restrictions, from Impossible burgers and vegan milkshakes to turkey burgers and sweet-potato fries.
The chain operates around 200 units worldwide.
Fatburger is owned by Fat Brands, whose other brands with an Alamo City presence include Round Table Pizza, Twin Peaks, Fazoli’s and Marble Slab Creamery.
