A new wine bar from the Dallas-based restaurant group behind Whiskey Cake, Ida Claire and Haywire is slated to open in Northwest San Antonio’s La Cantera development on Monday, Aug. 10.

Sixty Vines will debut its first San Antonio location this summer at 15900 La Cantera Parkway, according to officials with the concept. The chain has 17 locations nationwide, and this will be its fifth in Texas.

This also marks the fourth concept from Dallas’ FB Society to plant a flag at La Cantera, joining Whiskey Cake, Haywire and Ida Claire.

Sixty Vines gets its name from the 60 wines available on tap, which will include a global assortment of reds, whites and rosés, company officials said.

The chain aims for a “pinkies down” approach to wine drinking, favoring a laidback and approachable experience. Its bars also offer plenty of food designed to complement its selections of vino.

Menu highlights include an apropos Cabernet burger, hand-tossed pizzas, charcuterie boards, salads, Atlantic salmon and more. The San Antonio location will serve lunch and dinner during the week, with brunch available on the weekends.

While the San Antonio menu hasn’t been finalized as of publication, other Sixty Vines locations offer an assortment of cocktails for the wine-averse.

Sixty Vines’ wine-on-tap system helps eliminate unnecessary waste, according to company officials. As a result, patrons can have their wine and be eco-friendly too.
