Love is in the air. Or Valentine’s Day is, anyway.

Feb. 14 is this Saturday, for those not paying close attention to the calendar. Which means the time time make plans is ticking down.

Whether it’s a dinner you need to plan for your significant other, or just a special sweet delivery, here are a variety of dinners and events to enjoy to commemorate a holiday all about love. Make sure to act fast, though — reservations are filling up. 

InterContinental San Antonio Riverwalk Hotel 

Cavalier, the American brasserie on the lobby level of the InterContinental, will offer a pre-fixe menu for Friday, Feb. 13 and Valentine’s Day itself. Highlights of the special menu include a Maine lobster bisque with cognac foam, a choice of wagyu Texas filet and pan-seared seabass for the main entree and a special chocolate treat for dessert. Bakery Lorraine 

Bakery Lorraine is serving up both Valentine’s Day and Galentine’s Day collections through Feb. 15, available in-store and via limited pre-orders at all locations. The lineup includes sugar skull shortbread cookies, “Love You to Death” vanilla raspberry skull cakes, heart-shaped shortbread stacks, dark cherry and chocolate tiramisu and a raspberry rose japonaise. For gifting, pre-order the Bel Amour Box or heart-shaped vintage cakes with pick-up from Feb. 13 through Valentine’s Day. Proceeds from the chocolate cherry macaron support the San Antonio Food Bank. The Gunter Hotel 

Paris Baguette at the recently revamped Gunter is celebrating Valentine’s Day through Feb. 16 with a lineup of pink velvet–themed pastries and drinks. For a more elevated night out, Jots at The Gunter Hotel offers a Valentine’s Day menu for two on Feb. 14 featuring butter-poached lobster tail, a char-grilled ribeye with truffled smashed potatoes and a dark-chocolate and raspberry dessert. Bar 414 rounds out the experience with Valentine’s-inspired pours and bites, including Duc de Chagny Blanc de Blancs Brut, the playful “Do Not Disturb” gin cocktail and Heart Throb toast with beet butter, whipped chèvre and crispy prosciutto. 311 N. Anaqua Garden Bar 

Anaqua Garden Bar will offer a Galentine’s Day celebration dubbed Leopard & Lace from 7-10 p.m. Feb. 13. Open to the public, the evening features a creative cocktail menu alongside playful activities including card games, a photo station, a tattoo station and a larger-than-life confession burn book, a la Mean Girls. 555 S. Hard Rock Cafe San Antonio 

Hard Rock Cafe San Antonio is turning up the romance with its new VIP Love Huts this Valentine’s season. Couples can cozy up in a private Love Hut and enjoy a chef-curated Valentine’s themed menu featuring an appetizer, choice of entrée and dessert. For an extra touch of flair, The Balcony is back with its limited-time Valentine’s pop-up bar Love Shack, complete with seasonal cocktails, immersive décor and a live DJ spinning tunes to set the mood. Tributary San Antonio 

Tributary at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter will present a four-course Valentine’s Day dinner on Feb. 13 and 14. The menu starts with a country ham gougère with Gruyère and truffle cream. Guests can then choose from dishes such as a goat cheese tart, duck confit tamal with foie gras or lump crab with avocado, followed by lobster bisque or a smoked bacon and frisée salad. Entrées include Texas Wagyu tenderloin au poivre, truffle-infused heritage chicken or striped bass meunière. The meal finishes with indulgent desserts such as crème brûlée or chocolate éclair. One of the go-to spots in San Antonio for a romantic evening, Bliss in Southtown is back with an extensive Valentine’s Day special prix‑fixe menu. Expect appetizer options including East Coast oysters with Champagne mignonette and butter-poached lobster with truffle caviar. Mains range from braised beef short ribs and seared sea scallops to beef tenderloin and Lockhart quail.
