Homegrown north-of-downtown sandwich shop Wicked Wich has teased expansion plans.

On Friday morning, the business shared a photo of a key on Instagram with the hashtags #morewichesontheway, #comingsoon and #part2. Online congratulations poured in from loyal customers, with some asking the business to leak the address of the new location.

In addition to tasty sandwiches, Wicked Wich, located at 825 Fredericksburg Road near the new location of Friends of Sound record store, is known for its affordable prices and ever-revolving specials. Today’s, for example, is a 10-inch meatball sub for $8.

The Current reached Wicked Wich’s owners to determine when the new eatery might be open for business, but the sando shop is keeping those details under wraps for now.

For now, the Wicked Wich continues to operate its flagship store from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
