Otto’s Ice House — a Pearl-area concept helmed by James Beard Award-nominated Houston restaurateur Levi Goode — will pop its first cold ones Tuesday, April 15, according to its owners. 

Named for Pearl Brewery founder Otto Koehler, the ice house will serve up a variety of ice-cold beverages, several of which pay homage to the local historical figure who met his end by a woman named Emma.

Guests will be able to order drinks such as the Otto’s Last Shot alongside hearty grub including homemade bratwurst, street tacos, German soft pretzels and more. Other drinks will include Damn Goode margaritas, honeysuckle froze, Micheladas, beer, wine and more.

Otto’s is located at 111 Newell Avenue, on the bank of the San Antonio River Walk, adjacent to Pullman Market. Open seven days a week, Otto’s will serve both lunch and dinner.

The ice house concept marks Goode’s San Antonio debut. The renowned restaurateur helms his family-owned business, the Goode Co., in addition to his own solo projects — Credence, a live fire-style tribute to South Texas, and Sidebar, a speakeasy-style cocktail lounge located right next door.
