Otto’s Ice House has opened at the Pearl, offering a laid-back environment to pop a cold one inside the north of downtown retail, restaurant and entertainment complex.
The bar and restaurant also is the first San Antonio venture by James Beard-nominated Houston restaurateur Levi Goode.
Otto’s opened Tuesday, April 15, adjacent to Pullman Market. The business is named after Otto Koehler, the legendary former president of Pearl Brewery.
Located at 111 Newell Avenue, Otto’s is self-described as “The Jewel on Newell” with a selection of pub food including homemade bratwurst, street tacos, German soft pretzels and more. Drinks at the pet- and family-friendly watering hole include Otto’s Last Shot, Damn Goode margaritas, honeysuckle frozé, Micheladas, beer, wine and more.
Owner Goode is an experienced restaurateur and chef who runs the family-owned Goode Co. dining group. Otto’s Ice House joins his other solo projects, which include Houston live-fire and ranch-inspired restaurant Credence and Sidebar, a speakeasy-style cocktail lounge.
Otto’s is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Its hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
