By next fall, Papa Nacho’s Cantina next year will be slinging fajitas and margaritas at a swanky new building in the Dominion area, lifestyle site What Now San Antonio reports.
An Oct. 16 filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation notes that construction on the new building at 25839 I-10 West will begin Nov. 11. Owner Mori Bagheri told What Now San Antonio that the eatery will be able to accommodate 220 guests across several spaces, including its bar and 1,355-square-foot outdoor covered patio.
Papa Nacho’s isn’t moving far, however. The new location is just 2.5 miles from its current post at 24145 Interstate 10. However, the expanded restaurant will serve a “polished” version of the eatery’s fajitas, tacos, burritos and enchiladas, Bagheri said.
Local firm DTM Architects is facilitating the $2.6 million construction project, according to details filed with state regulators.
The Current reached out to Papa Nacho’s to determine whether the current restaurant will remain open while the new one is being built. The paper received no response by press time.
San Antonio’s 2M Smokehouse and Seguin’s Burnt Bean Co. will participate in a picnic honoring the magazine’s picks for the 50 best barbecue joints in the state.
Delia’s issued a general denial to the plaintiffs’ claims, which also include allegations the company threatened to call immigration authorities on workers who complained.
