Though the new Haywire, 15900 La Cantera Parkway, will open its doors at 11 a.m., grand-opening activities won’t get underway until 5 p.m. Guests can that stop by that evening to take a photo with a real-live Longhorn, pick up a custom keepsake, enjoy a live art activation and more.
The farm-to-table, Texan-inspired steakhouse concept took over the space located catty-corner to PF Chang’s at La Cantera. Encompassing more than 16,000 square feet, the Haywire location features multiple dining areas on two floors and a central bar.
The brunch, lunch and dinner menus includes items such as elk tacos, 33-ounce ribeyes, Gulf Coast ceviche, Texas farm-raised redfish, cheeseburgers served with tallow fries and more. Also on tap are wine and whiskey collections featuring Texas brands. The new restaurant is overseen by chef de cuisine Abel Sanchez (Brenner’s Steakhouse) and managing partner Zach Harris, a San Antonio resident, according to Haywire officials.
