Christmas Cheer shot
This little number will help get you through those last few days of holiday shopping. I was a bit grossed out when I first stumbled across the Christmas Cheer. The recipe calls for equal parts eggnog and peppermint schnapps which seemed a little too bold to combine…
But I was pleasantly surprised. One suggestion: Make sure both liquids are very cold before mixing. The schnapps actually helps thin out the viscous eggnog. I dressed up the shot by adding crushed peppermint to the rim, but red or green decorative sugar also works.
Christmas Cheer
1 ounce eggnog
1 ounce peppermint schnapps
crushed peppermint, for rim
Rim shot glass. Combine nog and schnapps in a shaker with ice; strain and enjoy.
