Florida-based franchise The Brass Tap has closed their Rim location with little to no fanfare. The “Ultimate Beer Bar” opened in the La Cantera area in 2015 and closed on December 31.

The Facebook page and website for the San Antonio location is gone. The franchise’s main Facebook page responded to the Current‘s request for information with the following statement:

We are a franchise system and sometimes issues happen with the local owner operator that are out of our control or we are unaware of. Hopefully we can service the San Antonio market again.
