At almost 14 years, Russian Circles has continued to be one of the leaders in the post-rock, alternative-metal, post-metal (or instru-metal if you’re a nerd like me) communities.
Punctuated by their sometimes terrifying crescendos, the three-piece create a sort of magical dark metal that feels like a swirling mist that might surround a witch as she’s preparing to destroy some Eastern European town that’s scorned her. It’s altogether beautiful and spooky and we’re more than stoked to announce that they’re headed back to San Antonio with Austin’s own Dallas Acid at Paper Tiger on Saturday, October 13.
The band recently announced that they’re be working on their seventh album but didn’t say whether or not it’d be released by this tour, which includes post-doom mother of darkness, Chelsea Wolfe for the first half of the tour (we’ll miss you Chelsea, *sobs quietly*).
