Pop singer Shakira’s highly anticipated San Antonio show, initially scheduled for Nov. 16 at Frost Bank Center, has been rescheduled and moved to the Alamodome due to high ticket demand.

The three-time Grammy award winner’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is now scheduled to stop at the Alamodome on Friday, June 13, according to officials with the venue. Those who bought tickets to the Frost Bank show will be issued a refund in the next 14 to 21 days, according to Ticketmaster.

“The demand for tickets and more shows has reached the point that our tour now requires stadiums in the USA and more dates so I can see as many of you as possible,” Shakira said last Friday via an Instagram story, according to Billboard. “As a result, we’re elevating my North America run from arenas to stadiums, and the dates will be shifted to May 2025, right after my Latin American tour.”

The Alamodome on Monday confirmed the move via tweet.

Fans can register for an artist presale for the new tour date now through 11 p.m. Tuesday. Citi card members also will have access to presale tickets starting noon Wednesday. Fans can purchase general sale tickets to see the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer via Ticketmaster starting at noon Friday.

The tour follows after the release of the Colombia-born singer’s first album in seven years. The album La Mujeres Ya No Lloran landed at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums and Latin Pop Albums chart, making Shakira the first female Latin vocalist to top the charts in four different decades.

Shakira will only play one other Texas show on the tour: Arlington’s Globe Life Field on June 11.

Ticket prices unavailable, 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 13, Alamodome, 100 Montana St., alamodome.com.
