The PBS show that annually chronicles some of the finest voices in folk music, that is, the people’s music, (whether it be country, rock ‘n’ roll, soul, R&B, blues, jazz or pop), is set to kick off its 40th anniversary season with rock ‘n’ roll-AM-soul outfit the Alabama Shakes.
In honor and in preparation of the premiere, PBS has released several videos from the pre-recorded set that includes tunes from the Shakes’ most recent Sound & Color and showcases the groups tightly honed chops and commanding frontwoman Brittany Howard.
