Left-wing political commentator Hasan Piker didn’t pull any verbal punches when he appeared at the University of Texas Wednesday night despite what students described as attempts by school officials to “soft cancel” the event.

During an audience Q&A, the Twitch streamer said he believes Texas will turn blue, calling it “Blexas, baby.”

He attributed those chances, at least in part, to Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton being a “repulsive” candidate. Paxton is running to represent the state in the U.S. Senate.

“I don’t know what the fuck Donald Trump was thinking with Ken Paxton,” Piker said, referring to the president’s 11th-hour endorsement of Paxton over incumbent U.S. Sen. John Cornyn in the primary.

Piker added that he can’t understand two things. First, why would the GOP hitch itself to a scandal-plagued candidate like Paxton. And, second, “why do women keep fucking” him?

“This guy doesn’t just have one wife, he has like 10 different ladies he’s been caught with in different places all around the world,” Piker said. “Not in Texas, mind you! He’s, like, in Barcelona on the subway. What are you doing? You have a race to run.”

While Paxton has been dogged by allegations of affairs for years, no reporting suggests that 10 have publicly come to light, suggesting Piker spoke metaphorically.

Piker also said Paxton’s rival in the Senate race, state Rep. James Talarico, is just the guy to turn Texas blue. Still, Texans must hold him accountable after the election to ensure he doesn’t become another “do nothing Democrat,” the commentator said.
