Hugo Award-winning artist John Picacio will sign his debut picture book The Invisible Parade at the The Pearl Farmers Market this Saturday at an event hosted by The Twig Book Shop.

The book, created with best-selling author Leigh Bardugo (the Shadow and Bone trilogy), is about a grieving girl who visits a graveyard and encounters four mysterious horsemen on the night of Día de Muertos.

While Picacio is known for work tied to high-profile science fiction and fantasy properties, including George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series, The Invisible Parade is the first book that he’s both written and illustrated.

Tickets are available now at The Twig’s website, and each includes a copy of the book Picacio will sign. Attendees can expect bonus gifts with their book purchases to commemorate Día de Muertos.

9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, The Twig Book Shop at Pearl Brewery Farmers Market, 306 Pearl Parkway, #106, (210) 826-6411, thetwig.com.
