A widely followed dog of Instagram who accurately predicted that the outcome of the NBA Western Conference Finals has a new prediction — and it’s one Spurs fans are going to like.
This week, the “clairvoyant” corgi known as Steph Furry predicted the Silver and Black will beat the New York Knicks in 7 games and win their 6th NBA championship.
Indeed, Furry said the Spurs will overcome a 2-1 deficit to win the next two games of the series. The pooch then foresees the Knicks tying the series in Game 6 with the Spurs winning Game 7.
Furry’s predictions are made by booping a basketball with his nose into one of two hoops, each representing the rival teams.
For reference, Furry accurately predicted the outcome of every game of the Western Conference Finals, so his prediction isn’t necessarily something to bark at.
Then again, Furry isn’t always on the nose. For example, he wrongly predicted the Montreal Canadians would win the NHL Eastern Conference Finals in 7 games. The team ended up losing the series in five games to the Carolina Hurricanes.
The San Antonio Spurs will face off against the New York Knicks for Game 1 of the NBA Finals at the Frost Bank Center at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The contest will air on ABC and also on YouTube TV and other places that stream ABC content.
Tickets for the game on Ticketmaster start at $753.
