Social media was set ablaze Monday after Elon Musk — the billionaire owner of Texas-based SpaceX and Tesla — appeared to give a Nazi salute during President Trump’s inauguration rally.
Indeed, two back-to-back salutes during a post-inauguration rally at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. ignited speculation from social media users that Musk was welcoming fascism with a “sieg heil” salute.
Though it may seem extreme to call it a Nazi salute, social media users point out that it’s the right hand, extended in exactly the same fashion.
I mean, if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck . . .
Trump is expected to also attend the rally at the Capital One Arena later today, where he is expected to sign a slew of Executive Orders which includes renaming the Gulf of Mexico, declaring a “national energy emergency” and ending birthright citizenship.
It’s not just the EPA. From Elon Musk and RFK Jr. to Marco Rubio and Doug Burgum, Trump’s choices to lead key agencies are poised to set a very different climate agenda.
‘When leaders try to silence reporters through intimidation, legal threats and denial of access, they are not protecting the country; they are protecting themselves from scrutiny.’
Meanwhile, a SpaceX employee has ordered the FAA to deploy thousands of the company’s Starlink satellite terminals in a bid to “upgrade aviation safety.”
