With the floods in Texas destroying homes and displacing victims, a local tattoo shop is stepping up to help young victims find some relief.

Platinum Tattoos & Body Piercings is offering free tattoos worth up to $60 in exchange for a $20 toy donation. The donations will benefit victims of the recent Texas floods, as well as children who are less fortunate.

We're getting lots of questions about our special so here's a bit of a FAQ: What size is a $60 tattoo? We don't have a standard price for a $60 tattoo, your best bet would be to come to the shop in person with your design and get a quote. All tattoos are quoted off of size, color, complexity of tattoo and placement. Can we bring in multiple toys? Yes, but only one toy can go to one tattoo, we won't stack discounts. What are your hours? Monday thru Thursday – Noon to 11pm Friday and Saturday – Noon to midnight Sunday – Noon to 6 pm Do you take walk ins or do we need an appointment? Due to the popularity of the special it is all first come first serve, no appointments. Do we need to wait for the tattoo? You can also make a $25 donation through PayPal, with the $5 convenience fee accounting for the shop’s employees shopping for toys.

The tattoo shop normally holds the Toys4Tats promotion from mid-November through December as part of a Christmas toy drive. Platinum Tattoos will continue that tradition, but is hosting a drive now through Saturday, November 17, specifically for those affected by flooding.

Donations received November 18 through December 31 will go to less fortunate children.
