This Easter, some went hunting for eggs. Others went hunting for nose candy.
On Sunday, the Texas city of Jamaica Beach posted on Facebook that large amounts of cocaine washed up on the shore near Galveston after authorities raided a ship offshore.
“The crew started dumping large amounts overboard, and it’s washing up on the coast line,” the post explained.
“Beach is gonna be crowded today,” commenter Lisa Anne said, no doubt suggesting that plenty of people would be eager to assist police in their beach cleanup.
The helpful officers even showed what the packages look like, which concerned citizens and do-gooders seemed to appreciate.
“Hey, thanks for showing us all what to be looking for….. we’ll be RIGHT THERE,” Bryan Faircloth posted.
Like an adult Easter egg hunt, countless community members agreed to help the search effort.
“Hey Siri, reroute to Jamaica Beach,” Treviño Mundo said. “Easter on the beach it is.”
“I’ll bring a straw. Oh, wait I mean a shovel,” said Dave Mast, another helpful citizen.
“And they say it doesn’t snow in Texas!” commenter Luna Carla added.
