Vintage Pictures, Ritmo Sabroso
Hey, if the world is falling to pieces, might as well dance. This installment of Lonesome Rose’s ongoing Noche Cumbiambera series showcases Vintage Pictures, one of SA’s most promising new bands thanks to its fusion of punk energy with Latin grooves. Angel White, Mockingbird Express
The new owners of the Gunter Hotel — host to blues legend Robert Johnson’s famed 1930s recording sessions — have leaned heavily into the property’s musical heritage. This concert in the downtown hotel’s Crystal Ballroom features acclaimed Dallas-based singer-songwriter Angel White, known for a style he calls “western soul” that incorporates dirty Texas-style blues with country, pop and more. Sawyer Brown
Sawyer Brown became viral before going viral was considered a thing. Back in the day, the country singer skyrocketed to fame on Star Search and hasn’t looked back. Over the past four decades, Brown and his band have blazed a trail with a sound equally influenced by Merle Haggard and The Eagles. Steve Earle
