Planned Parenthood South Texas on Wednesday unveiled a plan to counter likely attacks on reproductive healthcare during the first 100 days of the second Trump administration.

“While much attention is focused on the new administration’s first 100 days, Planned Parenthood South Texas has its own 100-Day Plan of Care and Resistance,” the nonprofit said in a statement.

The unveiling of Planned Parenthood’s project — which includes providing ultrasounds at all San Antonio health centers, expanding colonoscopy services and launching a menopause-education campaign — comes after the Trump White House deleted a federal reproductive rights site set up by the prior administration.

Other programs Planned Parenthood South Texas will implement during Trump’s first three months in office include a relaunch of community-education programs to offer age-appropriate sessions on consent, contraception, breast and cervical health, STD prevention and LGBTQ+ issues.

San Antonio’s Pride Center, Thrive Youth Center and LUPE in the Rio Grande Valley have also joined Planned Parenthood South Texas’ Fanny Fund Health Care Voucher Program, which funds routine reproductive healthcare visits for Texans without health insurance.

Planned Parenthood, which offers reproductive healthcare at four San Antonio locations, is also joining forces with Alamo Colleges to provide-on-the-job training to students seeking healthcare careers.

Other initiatives include hosting know-your-rights workshops, launching a feminist book club in San Antonio and distributing period packs to migrants, asylum seekers and those living in poverty.

“For 86 years, and through 15 administrations, we have provided South Texans with the expert, equitable, empowering care they need to move their lives and their families forward,” Planned Parenthood South Texas said. “We are here for good and we are resolved to create a future defined by care, resistance, and compassion.”
