San Antonio police arrested a food truck worker over the weekend on charges that he shot another man who tried to steal a tip jar from the business, KSAT reports.
SAPD officers responded to a disturbance call shortly before midnight Saturday on the 1100 block of West Hildebrand Avenue, according to KSAT. The altercation came after a 29-year-old man allegedly attempted to take the tip jar from the food truck parked at the site, according to a preliminary report cited by the TV station.
However, the trouble at the mobile kitchen wasn’t over.
An hour later, a 37-year-old employee of the food truck saw the purported thief across the street, drove his vehicle up to the man and shot him in the chest, according to KSAT.
The injured man was transported to a hospital for treatment, while the employee was arrested on the scene for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the station reports.
