You may have seen an adorable video making the rounds on Twitter a few weeks ago of a San Antonio girl, Ellie Villegas, receiving a Build-A-Bear with military wear and a recording of her father David’s voice for her birthday. The gift was extra special since David is in basic training in South Carolina and hasn’t been able to speak with his daughter.
And like most videos that go viral, Ellie’s reaction got a spot for her and her mother Vanessa to appear on The Ellen Show. Set to air this afternoon, the mother and daughter got to meet Ellen DeGeneres. Oh, and catch up with David.
David went into the army to help alleviate debt, so of course Ellen (but really, Shutterfly) presented the family with $25,000.
