Even the Catholic Church is getting in on the hoops action.

With the NBA Finals in full fury, the archbishops of New York and San Antonio have made a friendly wager on the outcome, the National Catholic Register reports.

If the Spurs win their sixth NBA Championship against the New York Knicks, then the Big Apple Archbishop Ronald Hicks, will send San Antonio archbishop Gustavo García-Siller bagels, cream cheese and lox. (We sure hope it’s coming from Russ & Daughters.)

But if the New York Knicks win their first NBA title in more than five decades, García-Siller will send his East Coast colleague a Texas-themed gift box from H-E-B.

The bet is the latest Finals wager to grab headlines.

NBA commentator Kendrick Perkins earlier this week pledged to scoop up Rhino poop at the San Antonio Zoo should the Spurs win the series.

The Spurs will again take on the Knicks in an elimination game at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Frost Bank Center.
