At 11 a.m. Thursday, students at the University of Texas at San Antonio participated in what they called a “walkout over ICE terror.”

During the walkout, organized by Right to Rebel SATX, students called for justice for Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez, the Austin man shot by ICE agents during a traffic stop, and Ian Ross, an activist who was federally indicted for assaulting, resisting, or impeding a federal agent following a San Antonio protest.

The students also demanded a halt to the development of a planned ICE detention facility on San Antonio’s East Side and an end to campus police cooperation with ICE.

Here’s what we saw.
