A 40-year-old Converse man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of plotting to attack the Texas Capitol, Texas Department of Public Safety officials said.

Benny Caldera Jr. has been charged with making a terroristic threat against a public servant, a third-degree felony, KSAT-TV reports, citing public records.

SWAT officers arrested Caldera based on a tip, and the FBI took Caldera into custody at the Bexar County Jail, DPS officials said in a public statement. He will remain in custody there and hasn’t been released on bond, the agency said.

“At this time, there is no reason to believe there is an ongoing threat to the Texas State Capitol,” DPS officials added. “DPS will continue an increased posture at the Texas Capitol and encourages ALL Texans to remain vigilant.”

Caldera’s bond is set at $75,000, according to KSAT.
