The San Antonio Spurs got big news on Tuesday as the NBA continues to roll out its schedule for the upcoming season.
Fresh off a trip to the NBA Finals, the Silver and Black will launch the 2026-27 season with an Oct. 20 home opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The game, scheduled to air on NBC, will be a rematch of the Western Conference Finals.
And on Christmas Day, the Spurs are scheduled for a Madison Square Garden rematch against the reigning NBA Champion New York Knicks. ABC will carry that contest.
As for the Spurs’ controversial “home game” in Austin, the team will take on the Houston Rockets at the University of Texas’ Moody Center on Friday, Oct. 23. That one will stream on Amazon Prime.
The NBA announced the trio of games as part of the league’s weeklong rollout of highlights for the upcoming season. The full schedule is expected to drop Thursday.
